Director, Software Quality Assurance
Position Description
Direct the QA managers and senior team members to achieve the highest level of quality and testing for software products. Responsible for defining and implementing software quality and test standards. Oversee resource allocation and assignments. Recruit resources and conduct performance reviews. Provide guidance mentoring and career planning for the team. Develop capacity and budget planning. Recommend and champion improvements in our project management, development and delivery methodologies and procedures to optimize procedures and reduce product defects. Position reports to the Associate Vice President Quality Assurance.

Requirements |
Minimum Requirements
Seven or more years experience in overall quality assurance including five or more years of management experience.
This position requires:
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, and well rounded business experience.
Strong IT experience in quality assurances practices and software development life cycle methodology.
Experience in implementing software quality assurance as well as test standards.
Experience in implementing test tools and software test metrics.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to think out of the box, requiring innovation and creativity.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to build relationships and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results in a consensus driven environment.
Working understanding of PC/client server/web server, etc. platforms.
Must interface effectively with all levels of management as well a diverse technical team.
Proficient with all MS OfficeŽ applications and other PC applications.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A certification in quality, such as CSTE or CSQA.
Experience working with a .Net framework, Service Oriented Architecture
Experience with Agile software methodology.
Experience with outsourcing for staff augmentation.
Experience with CMMI.
Experience with the Mercury Tools Suite.
Previous experience in healthcare (Payor or Facilities Billing)
Education
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
