Description |
Configure, install, and maintain mostly Windows computer systems in a stand-alone and networked environment. Research nonstandard software and hardware before installation. Perform and analyze weekly security audits for nonstandard events. Implement backup solution and ensure a cohesive disaster recovery plan. Install security patches and anti virus updates. Lock down and verify registry configuration for windows computers based upon classified security requirements.
Manage user accounts, reset passwords, and perform annual computer recertification¿s. Ensure all AIS equipment is properly labeled and logged in accordance with System Security Plan (SSP). Work with the IAM/IAO on ensuring System Security Plan (SSP) is up-to-date.

Requirements |
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years Windows systems administration experience. A minimum of 2 years information assurance or technology experience working in a classified computer facility ensuring system availability, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality. Extensive knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software. Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with managers and technical staff Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Future needs may require the ability to be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or Polygraph examination. Preference would be for current SSBI.
Desired: Some Linux/UNIX computer experience. Some computer programming and/or scripting background. Working familiarity with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) or Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) security requirements.
